Meet Emma

Emma H.– Age 12

Emma has been shooting for four years and currently uses a Stoeger Uplander 20-gauge. She loves spending time outdoors and finds real joy in shooting clays—her favorite part of the Clay Team is simply how much fun it all is.

If someone new to the sport asked her for advice, Emma would say: “The coaches are very helpful and will guide you.” Her enthusiasm and positive attitude make her a valued member of the team and a great role model for new shooters.

Jeremy & Heather
CRCT Parents

Jeremy and Heather are proud parents to Emma, a dedicated member of the CRCT team. One of their favorite parts of being involved with the Clay Team is watching Emma light up when she breaks clays. Beyond the sport itself, they’ve seen her grow in responsibility—showing up on time, maintaining her equipment, and following team expectations.

Sundays at the range have become a family favorite: the kids are having fun, learning valuable skills, and the parents get to enjoy some relaxing time outdoors.

If someone were considering signing their child up, Jeremy and Heather wouldn’t hesitate: “If your kid has any interest in hunting, target shooting, or you just want them to learn responsibility and gun safety—the clay team is a great fit.”

As for advice to new families? “The coaches do a great job preparing you, so there’s nothing to be nervous about. But if you can, give your child some extra time on the range or at home to get comfortable with their gun. The more familiar they are, the more they can focus on hitting targets. And if they’re not quite there yet, that’s okay—practice and guidance are built into every team session.”
